When it comes to building a new home, location is everything. The best places are conveniently located, surrounded by a top-notch community and enjoyable across all four seasons. It’s easy to look at a map and see just how perfectly situated Woodstock is – it’s convenient to the north Georgia mountains and an easy commute into downtown Atlanta. And we can’t say enough about how wonderful it is to be in a Live, Work, Play community.
But the icing on the cake: Homeowners in Woodstock get to enjoy the best of all four seasons. There are dozens of reasons why winter is just better here in Woodstock, but we’ll save you some time and boil it down to the top three.
The Weather
Unless you grew up in south Florida, you’re probably comfortable with the idea that winter should be cold. In Woodstock, we get that wonderful winter feel with cooler temps—the average high is around 54 degrees while the average low is a chilly 36—but with lovely sunny days thrown in the mix. It’s not uncommon to enjoy a beautiful no-jacket-required day here and there throughout winter.
At Rezide Properties, we design new construction homes that seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor living. While we even get the occasional snow, one of the best parts of building a new home in downtown Woodstock is that the great outdoors is never inaccessible.
Entertainment Options Abound
Woodstock is a city that loves to celebrate. In the summer and fall, we have outdoor concerts and once a month Friday Night Live events that draw a crowd. In the winter, the city is anything but dormant. Decked out in twinkle lights, Woodstock shines throughout the cooler months, and there’s no shortage of entertainment. The city hosts the Christmas Jubilee Parade of Lights and Santa visits the Park at City Center.
And if you’re looking for more festivities, Woodstock Arts puts on its annual Christmas Carol performance throughout December. We love living in a city with so much live entertainment!
The Community
But perhaps the best part of life in downtown Woodstock is the community. Woodstock’s small-town vibe with big city amenities is as inviting in the winter as it is the whole year round. With its beautiful lights and decorations and fun events like the Holiday Sip and Shop, downtown Woodstock is full of opportunities to meet up with friends in fun places. Whether you choose to gather around a fire at Reformation (the local brewery) or get cozy in a booth at Salt (a great local restaurant), the welcoming community atmosphere in this city is always warm.
