Tony Perry—Rezide Properties’ CEO—is responsible for both our company culture and our iconic home designs. Choosing a homebuilder is a big decision. As you do your research, we’d like to give you an opportunity to get to know our owner, Tony, just a little bit better.
An Interview with Tony Perry
Can you tell us a little about your interest in homebuilding?
I have a passion for homebuilding. I’ve been building homes in the Atlanta area for 40 years now. I’ve had other job offers and the opportunity to change careers several times, but I continue to build homes because I just like it. I say this to people all the time: no one has to ask me to get up each morning and build homes. I just like to. I like watching the plans get started, we make a neighborhood, we build a house, we put the cabinets in it, and one day someone’s happy because they get to live in it. This isn’t a career that choose me – I chose it. There’s so much about it that’s fun to me.
Do you have a favorite feature or element in a Rezide home?
Absolutely! The courtyard or outdoor living space. As much as we can, we bring the indoors outdoors. It’s one of the many ways that we design homes that improve our buyers’ lifestyles.
What do you love about Woodstock? What are some of your favorite places to visit or events to attend?
The best thing about Woodstock is that we have lots of eateries. It’s the number one thing that I think makes it fun. There are all these places to eat, and there’s a variety. Whether it’s a snack at Canyon Burger or white tablecloths at Prime 120, we have it all.
What do you love doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy vacationing and playing with my grandkids. I love to go on vacation with friends. And if I’m not doing that, it’s playing with the grandkids. They come over and swim. They even have their own rooms at our house. They’re just fun to watch.
