It’s February, and along with a slight winter chill, love is in the air. We know what you’re thinking: “Date ideas? From my favorite homebuilder?” Yes! We love Woodstock and have spent so much of our own time in and around downtown, so we want to share our suggestions! Plus, our homebuilder and real estate agent manage to both work together AND remain happily married, so we’re basically date idea experts.
If you’ve spent time learning about downtown Woodstock, you know the city has so much to offer! Living in a newly built Rezide home at Westown or The Grand means living within walking distance of all the fun. Planning a date night doesn’t get any easier than that! Here are just a few of our favorite ideas for a night out.
Dinner Out
A truly classic date night usually includes a nice dinner out. Woodstock has an abundance of options to choose from, and narrowing down the list is difficult. If you’re looking for a quieter ambiance with that real date-night feel, Century House Tavern and Rootstock and Vine are two of our favorites. If you’re looking for something a little more lively, you can’t go wrong at Pure or Salt.
Live Music
Woodstock has a growing live music scene, and in the warmer months, several local establishments offer outdoor music on Fridays and Saturdays. This time of year, though, Mad Life Stage and Studio is your best bet and makes for a great night out! Theater
If you’re looking for a classy night out with a live theater performance or a night of laughs—think both improv and standup comedy—you’re lucky to live in Woodstock! Elm Street Cultural Arts Village offers a great lineup of shows that are perfect for any date night. While their February calendar is a bit thinner than normal, we couldn’t talk Woodstock date nights without giving them a mention.
Sip and Stroll
For us, the hallmark of a good date is the opportunity to share and connect while doing something fun. Why not let a carefully crafted drink or a thoughtfully curated drink menu inspire conversation? Reformation Brewery, Truck & Tap, and Rootstock and Vine each offer conversation-worthy beer and wine that are the perfect addition to any night out.
If the weather is nice, get your drink to go and stroll down Main Street or go check out the Elm Street Green. Woodstock’s open container law means you can enjoy your drink while touring downtown.
