With Spring right around the corner and the occasional warm day increasingly appearing in the forecast, it’s time to get outside! In December 2019, Blue Ridge Outdoors named Woodstock a Top Adventure Town, and with close, easy access to so many outdoor activities, it’s easy to see why! Residents of Woodstock have access to miles of walking trails, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and mountain biking just minutes from home.
We’ve included a few of our favorite outdoor activities below. Check out our website to learn more about the new construction homes (both custom homes and new neighborhoods!) that we’re building in Woodstock, close to all the adventure!
Greenprints Trails – Part of Our Community
Two of Rezide’s new neighborhoods, Westown and The Grand, sit directly on some of Woodstock’s most accessible paved trails! Woodstock’s Greenprints trails provide miles of walking, running, and biking opportunities for local residents and make strolling into Downtown an easy, pleasant experience.
Woodstock also has plans to expand the trail system to eventually connect to Cobb County’s Noonday Creek Trail. These trails add so much value for Woodstock residents (particularly those who can connect easily with them, such as the new homes at Westwon and The Grand) and they’re perfect for recreation and commuting alike!
Mountain Biking Opportunities Abound
Woodstock is also home to some of the best variety of mountain biking trails in metro Atlanta! There are more than 30 miles of trails for beginners through experts at both Blankets Creek and Rope Mill Park. And the mountain biking community in Woodstock is active and vibrant. If you’re looking for an exciting, fast-paced way to get outside and get active, check out the local trails!
Visit Lake Allatoona
While not technically in Woodstock, access points to Lake Allatoona are less than a 15 minute drive from our new build homes at Westown and The Grand! In addition to beautiful, scenic views and an opportunity to re-center yourself in nature, Lake Allatoona offers a variety of kayaking, stand-up paddleboard, fishing, and boating opportunities for Woodstock residents. Whether you own your own or want to rent, there are boat ramps and put-in points nearby.
For those looking for just a little more time outdoors, there is also camping near Lake Allatoona. Spend a night under the stars and enjoy a night in nature (then come home and appreciate all the wonderful luxuries built into your house!).
At Rezide, we’re constantly amazed at all that Woodstock has to offer, and we love being a part of the community! Whether you’re looking for a more urban lifestyle with close, walkable restaurants and entertainment or easy access to outdoor adventures, there’s something here for you!
