When it comes to shopping for a new home, most buyers have a list of non-negotiables—must-have details that their new home wouldn’t be complete without. Everyone counts the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, but there are so many other small touches that we believe a new construction home should have.

At Rezide Properties, we build new construction homes with our buyers’ lifestyles in mind. We design beautiful, functional layouts with careful attention to detail to make each house we build a luxury home. As you’re shopping for your new construction home, here’s a list of a few must-have amenities that we think you might like.

New Construction Homes with Storage

As new homes continue to trend towards the smaller side, how that space is used really matters. At Rezide Properties, we know that storage space is important, no matter the size of the house. We build homes with lots of storage throughout the house. For example, we consider large drawer space in the kitchen to be a must-have amenity. And, while we’re at it, we think the draws and cabinet doors should be soft-close, too!

Right-Sized Spaces throughout the Home

As we’ve said before, layout is more important than square footage (which is why we’re big believers in functionally designed homes!). There are a few areas in a house where you probably don’t want to skimp on the square footage, though. When we design homes, we build large garages – your garage should be big enough to fit your car. We also design master suites with extremely large showers (and dual sinks, of course).

And as we’re working from home more frequently these days, we think there’s value in a private office space, as well. It’s just one more little amenity to keep an eye out for as you’re shopping for a new construction home.

New-Build Luxury Homes

Building a new home is all about the details, and we want each of those little touches to add up to create a beautiful luxury home. Some of our favorite details are high ceilings and large windows to capture abundant natural light. When it comes to how you feel in your new home, natural light is a big deal

And of course, at Rezide, we’re big fans of outdoor living space! As you’re looking for your new home, consider the outdoor living space available and its effect on your lifestyle.
