Why we build in Woodstock

Both Rezide founders live here. It’s the town we know best.

Our office sits up the road in Acworth, but Woodstock is home. Tony Perry and Chris LaFaive both live here — and between them they have spent decades building in Cherokee County, long before downtown became a destination.

Four decades on these streets

Tony has been building since 1978 and founded his first homebuilding company in 1989. In Woodstock’s Towne Lake community alone, he has built more than 1,200 homes — a good share of the neighborhoods people drive through today.

Chris earned his builder’s license at nineteen in Michigan and moved to Georgia in 2012. He is a downtown Woodstock investor and community advocate who has shared the stage at design panels on the future of hometown living — and he still walks our job sites daily.

The two met during the housing downturn, founded Rezide Properties in 2016, and have been building across Cherokee County and North Georgia ever since.

A neighbor is watching

Building in Cherokee County is not the same as building anywhere else. We know which lots drain and which ones fight you, how the county’s inspections and timelines actually run, and which trades show up when they say they will. That knowledge is not something you can bring in from out of town.

It also means we run into our buyers at the grocery store, at the amphitheater, on the trail. Our rule on every lot has always been the same: build it like a neighbor is watching. Here, one usually is.
